Galeri Diraja Tuanku Ja’afar, Negeri Sembilan
Purpose-built to deliver the finest story-telling fit for a King.
Dedicated to the 10th King of Malaysia (1994 to 1999), the Galeri Diraja Tuanku Ja’afar in Negri Sembilan. The gallery has dedicated a major portion of the exhibition halls tracing the history of the early rulers of the state and their royal ancestry stretching back to the Javanese Minangkabau ethnicity of West Sumatra and Negeri Sembilan in the late 7th century.
The entire purpose-built gallery of over 44,000 square feet of exhibition space was mooted and supported by the current royal family’s idea to create a heritage and culturally steeped communal space, serving as an important etymological and historical reference point for the state of Negeri Sembilan.

The conservation showcases here are emblematic of the quality standards and modular demountability required for an international museum exhibition.
Trika’s role as their appointed case maker of the state ushered a period of close collaboration with the royal family and their far-sighted vision to anchor the new building’s space to history. The client’s brief was to provide a series of high security and conservation grade features of top range permanent showcases but in demountable form. Designed and manufactured for international museums, Trika proposed Turin Demountable to be the exclusive case system for the entire gallery. Due to its modularity and demountability, entire exhibition halls can be changed or re-layout within a single day. The display format calls for 900mmWidth x 900mmDepth x 2200mmHeight cases to be used in every conceivable layouts possible within the large exhibition halls.
With this major benefit, the Turin Demountable System is the perfect fit for the Galeri Diraja Tuanku Ja’afar.
